Granite renovation and polishing in Prague
Grinding, polishing and impregnation of granite floors, steps and countertops. A durable shine for years, even in high-traffic areas. Free quote within 24 hours.
How granite renovation works
Granite is significantly harder and more durable than marble, yet it still loses its shine over time from foot traffic, dirt embedded in the pores and residue from old impregnations. We renovate it with diamond grinding through progressive grits and polishing that restores a uniform, deep shine.
We renovate granite floors in entrance halls, staircases, outdoor cladding and kitchen or work countertops in both commercial and residential buildings. Thanks to its hardness, granite is also ideal for exteriors and high-traffic areas. After polishing we impregnate the surface against grease and dirt. Price from 250 CZK/m², fixed in a binding quote after a site survey.

Frequently asked questions

The main causes are wear of the top polished layer, dirt embedded in the pores and old impregnation losing its effect. Grinding and a fresh impregnation restore the shine.
Yes, granite is one of the most durable natural stones for exteriors. We recommend an anti-slip surface finish for exposed steps.
Because of the material's hardness, grinding granite takes longer than marble. For a typical entrance hall, expect 2–3 days of work.
Yes, we treat joints and transitions together with the whole surface so the result looks uniform and the impregnation also works there.
